About MYFRC

Background:

Mountmellick Youth & Family Resource Centre (MYFRC), formally Mountmellick Youth Development Centre, was established in 2018, following a successful application for FRC status by the Mountmellick Development Association (MDA) was made to Tusla in December 2017.

A new company in the name of MYFRC was established in April 2019 by a newly constituted Board of non MDA Board members, under which the staff and work of MYDA transferred and re-established under the FRC structure.

The vision of the MYFRC is that every family and child living in the Mountmellick area are afforded the supports and opportunities to reach their full potential.  These supports include Youth Work, Family Support, Community Development, Support Groups and Counselling

The mission of MYFRC is to develop appropriate responses to identified needs of families and children living in the area, which supports their personal, social, educational, cultural and economic development. We will do this in a welcoming, safe, creative and confidential space.
